Tips. Care of the Furniture

 

Even professional furniture can wear out. It depends on you how fast it is going to happen. If you take care of your furniture correctly, then you can prolong the working lifespan of the products and preserve their original look. 

It’s important to follow the recommendations of the manufacturer because taking care of the furniture is a basis for the longevity of the products. 

Taking care for upholstered furniture

There are different types of service care for each type of upholstery material. That is why it is important to know which fabric is used. The more firm the material, the easier service care is. For natural and soft fabrics more careful cleaning is necessary. 

In order not to damage the fabrics, you should:

1. For the soft fabrics use vacuum cleaner or soft dry brush.

In this case, the direction of movement must be only one way. Don’t press too hard on the furniture while cleaning. If the spots appeared on your furniture, you should use special detergent for cleaning the furniture and clothes brush. 

2. For leather, you need to use special care agents.

This material is particular, to remove dust you need to wipe the surface with wet flannel fabric. Spots can be removed with the help of a sponge, that was soaked in a soap solution. Note, that it’s forbidden to use a blow dryer to dry the leather. 

To protect the leather from cracks and moist it’s important to put a special solution on the product once a year.

Note:

1. Product save its look if you wash them at least once in two weeks.

2. Dust must be removed from this material and dry cleaned without any solutions, every 2 days. 

3. If liquid dropped on your furniture, don’t wait until it soaks in. Use a paper towel to soak in the extra moist, then easily pinch it with a wet sponge to remove the rest of it. Sponge must be often damped in clean water.

4. It’s forbidden to use chemical agents, like bleaches, solvents, and abrasive-based removers, on this material. 

Taking care of wooden furniture

Wood is a solid and beautiful material. For it to look appealing, you must take care of it. All the products and items have their own particular surface structure, that’s why it’s very important to be very careful while cleaning. Take care of your furniture in a way not to scratch it or damage it. 

It’s better to use for cleaning: 

  • soft fabrics;

  • solutions without acetone and alcohol;

  • polish solutions.

You have to follow these rules when taking care of the wooden furniture:

1. To protect the color of the finish, you shouldn’t place the furniture under direct sunlight

2. It’s forbidden to put hot things on the furniture, or place it close to the heaters; minimum distance from heaters is 60 cm.

It’s better not to clean with water too often, because they can negatively affect the product. Contrary to other materials, wood can hold water. Extra amount of water loosen and spoil the structure of wood. 

4. After cleaning the wooden tabletops we recommend to polish it with the wax. It can protect the tabletop and avoid the greasy lustre.
